In the manufacturing of resin molded products, there is a process where liquid resin raw materials are poured into molds and solidified before being removed. Release agents are used to smoothly remove molded products from the molds and to keep the molds clean.

While there is a global demand for reducing environmental impact, many companies are forced to choose solvent-based release agents due to quality and productivity concerns, despite the desire for water-based alternatives.

Chukyo Yushi has introduced water-based release agents with performance comparable to solvent-based ones to customers worldwide, receiving high evaluations for some of them. We will continue to develop products that contribute to society without stopping.

In ceramic sheet molding, a slurry (dispersion of ceramic powder) is spread into a sheet, dried, and then processed by winding, cutting, or perforating.

Sheet molding has challenges such as “long drying time,” “prone to defects like cracks,” and “more problems with thicker films.” Especially, sheet molding using water-soluble binders has not been widely practical due to the high surface tension of water emphasizing these challenges.

Chukyo Yushi has realized the same manufacturing process as solvent-based systems with a binder system centered on emulsion-based binders, enabling the practical use of sheet molding without using solvents like alcohol.
